Thank you for visiting my new website and for your interest in my work. I have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. I believe that my father may have kick started my interest to pursue art when I was a young child. I think it may have been the huge sea serpent drawing he made for me that had something to do with it. It was on paper that was the size of the kitchen table, and I was in awe of it. My mother also made her contribution to my interests as she studied drafting in high school. Given both of my parents' artistic abilities, the foundation for my development and further education may have been set early on.

My high school years were spent at the Buffalo Academy for the Visual and Performing Arts, followed with my attendance at Syracuse University, where I graduated with a BA in Illustration. Afterwards, I worked as a freelance graphic artist for several years which led to my employment at a local arcade game manufacturer where I currently am today.

The desire to create finished art has always been a part of me. My passion is to create art that means something to the viewer. I especially like creating work with historical significance. The importance of the automobile in American culture has always fascinated me and is often the subject of my work.

In addition to the subject matter, I have found that the choice of media matters significantly as well. After trying almost every painting media possible, I keep returning to watercolor. Given that I like to be efficient in my work, watercolor allows me to work quickly. It is also a decisive and finite media in that changes are not easily made. An artist cannot keep reworking a watercolor painting, so one must be sure of what to do at the onset of a creation. However, watercolor does have a " mind of its own," so there is an element of spontaneity to using it as well.

Thank you again for taking the time to review my website, and I hope that you will find the artwork interesting. Please contact me with any questions or inquiries about current or potential pieces. Further, if you have any stories to share, I welcome them.
